Cash forecasts you can sign off on.

Every figure traces back to the bank statement or invoice line it came from.

For accountants and fractional CFOs serving many US small businesses: bank statements pulled into one ledger, transactions matched to invoices and payments, a 13-week cash forecast.¹ A deterministic engine does the math. The AI only explains it. Early access is by waitlist.

Illustration: a 13-week cash forecast, a ledger and a bank statement. A pencil line ties the forecast's opening cash, $48,210.00, to the ledger balance for October 4, then to the statement's ending-balance line for October 4.

Numbers come from the engine, never from the model.

Spreadsheets, rules in the accounting system, general-purpose AI chatbots — you've tried them. The chatbot is the one you can't sign behind: it can state a figure that exists nowhere in the books.

Every number — balances, matches, totals, the forecast itself — is calculated by a deterministic financial engine. Same inputs, same result, every time. It works from the ledger built out of your clients' bank statements, not from a prompt.

The AI agent reads what the engine produced and explains it in plain language: why cash dips in week 9, which entries make up a total. When it quotes a number, the number is the engine's, with a reference back to its source line.

Situation

Situation

You close the month for 10 to 30 small businesses: statements to pull together, payments to match, and a client asking about next month's cash.

Situation

An owner asks what their cash looks like in a month, and what changes if things go differently. You need an answer you can walk them through.

What changes

What changes

Each client's statements become one ledger, matched to invoices and payments. The cash answer is a forecast you can trace, line by line.

What changes

A 13-week forecast per client, with what-if scenarios against the base case. Every figure traces back to a statement or invoice line.

Where Proofline stands today.

Proofline is in development, with no public launch yet. Nobody uses it today, so this page has no testimonials, no client logos and no time-saved figures. What you can check is the mechanism: the trace above.

It is a tool for analysis and data preparation. It isn't an accounting system or a tax system, and nothing it produces is advice. It prepares the numbers; reviewing them stays your work.

NOTES
Note 1Does the AI calculate any of the numbers?

No. Every number is calculated by a deterministic financial engine, not by the language model: the same inputs give the same result.

The AI agent reads the engine's output and explains it. When it quotes a figure, the figure is the engine's and traces back to its source line.

Note 2What does "traces back to the source" mean in practice?

Any number Proofline shows (a forecast week, a matched payment, a total) can be followed back to the bank statement line or invoice line it came from. You check it the way you'd tick and tie a working paper: open the source line and compare.

Note 3Is this an accounting system or a tax tool?

Neither. Proofline analyzes and prepares data: it builds a ledger from statements, matches transactions to invoices and payments, forecasts cash and shows where each figure comes from. It isn't an accounting system or a tax system, and nothing it produces is advice.

Note 4Will it work with QuickBooks, Stripe or Shopify?

That's planned, not built. Working with QuickBooks, Stripe and Shopify exports, and connecting to banks, are on the plan. None of them works today, and the order and timing haven't been announced.

Note 5What files can I upload?

Bank statements as CSV, OFX or PDF. Exports from QuickBooks, Stripe and Shopify are planned; see note 4.

Note 6Where will my clients' data be stored?

Hosting, encryption and audit details haven't been published yet. Where each one stands is on the sheet in "Where Proofline stands today", and we make no security claims beyond what that sheet says.

Note 7How is pricing structured?

Per client company, per month. The amounts aren't published yet; the rate sheet above shows what is known.

Note 8What do I get by joining the waitlist, and when?

We haven't announced early-access terms or timing yet. Proofline is in development, with no public launch date. Early access will start from the waitlist.

Note 9Does it replace my accountant, or me?

No. Proofline is built for accountants and fractional CFOs, not instead of them. It prepares and matches the data and shows where each number comes from. Reviewing it, judging it and signing off is your work.

Early access waitlist

Proofline isn't launched yet, and early-access terms and timing haven't been announced.
